In Bed with a Spy by Alyssa Alexander is probably the most intriguing romance novel that I have read so far this year, and, as it is October, that is saying something. This book is the second book in Alexander's Spy in the Ton series.
I particularly liked that this is no "virgin to the sacrifice" romance novel. Lilias, the heroine, is a warrior in her own right and a woman who has lived and loved. Angelstone, the hero, is dealing with scars and wound of his own. They are a well matched pair, neither one dominant over the other. The sparks fly between them because they are equals in every respect. The attraction between them is smoking hot.
I love a romance novel that includes suspense, danger and unexpected twists. In Bed with a Spy is a book that you stay up all night to finish. I give this book 5 stars.
